POSITIONS FOR ELECTION:
· Department of Physics (DOP) Representative
· Institute of Environmental Science (IES) Representative
· Technology, Society and Environment Studies (TSES) Representative
· First Year Representative (2 seats)
TIME LINE:
· Nomination Period: September 12, 2011 (8:30 AM) – September 16, 2011 (4:00 PM)
· All Candidates Meeting: September 16, 2011 (4:00 PM) in 1152 HP
· Voting Days: September 26 at 8:30 AM to September 27 at 5:30 PM
· Results: September 28,2011
REGULATIONS:
· All election materials, including nomination forms, will be available at the Science Student Success Centre (SSSC) located in 1152 HP.
· Nomination forms must be submitted on or before September 16, 2011 at 4:00 PM in 1152 HP.
· Voting information will be sent to the constituents via email.
· Students wishing to run for a Council position may only run for a seat that represents their own department, institute or school. Similarly, students may not nominate or vote for a student who does not represent their department, institute or school.
· The number of seats for a particular position represents the maximum number of candidates a student may nominate and/or vote for that position.
· Students may not nominate themselves for any position.
· Students in their first year of study may only run for the position of First Year Representative.
· Similarly, students who run for the position of First Year Representative may only receive nomination and votes from other First Year Students.
