First Annual Amazing Race: Carleton University Science & Engineering Edition.

CU-WISE (Carleton University-Women in Science and Engineering) has designed this event to introduce to female high school students some of the amazing research being done here at Carleton University.Teams of students (max of 5) will be given clues and stamps after completing assigned tasks/experiments/workshops in various science and engineering laboratories, with the end goal of collecting the maximum number of stamps.

We are looking for enthusiastic lab groups, ideally from each department, to design and run the experiments/workshops/tasks that correspond to their research or area of expertise. We have probed our contacts and the event has already received an overwhelming response from high school students and teachers.

The following are the details of the event:

Date: May 17 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Target Audience: Female High School Students

Goals: To showcase what "researchers" do in different deparments at Carleton University

Lab/Workshop/Task : Should be as hands on as possible and the duration should be between 15-20 mins.
