The Quest for Plastinates at Carleton: A State-of-the-Art Alternative

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

There is no greater way to learn human anatomy than examining real, human tissue. Carleton University does not have the facilities for human cadavers; however, plastinated models are the current state-of-the-art alternative. These specimens, individually prepared from donated human tissue, are resistant to wear and tear, are non-toxic and represent the human form with unprecedented detail and accuracy.  They are a brilliant teaching and learning tool. We would like to raise $25,000 to purchase a set of plastinates to transform the learning experience of our anatomy & physiology students.

The quest has begun to raise $25,000 for this worthy cause through our Future Funder site. For all the information, please click here!
