Dear Members of the Carleton Community,
As part of Carleton’s ongoing commitment to comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the university is launching the next two new modules of required training for all faculty and staff.
All faculty and staff must complete the following AODA training:
1. Customer Service training module: http://carleton.ca/accessibility/training/ AND
2) The two new training modules – the Employment Standard and Information and Communications Standard – can be accessed by logging into cuLearn at:
· Employment Standard Training
· Information and Communications Training
If you are asked for an ‘Enrolment Key’ for either the Employment Standard or Information and Communications training, please enter ‘training’ as the password. In order to register for these two training courses, please click on the links below and enter your MyCarleton username and password.
The Employment Standard takes an estimated 12 minutes to complete, and the Information and Communications Standard takes about 17 minutes.
The university is required by law to ensure that it has provided training to all of its faculty and staff. We encourage everyone to complete the training by Oct. 31. If you have already completed the training, we thank you.
Carleton has adopted this training package developed by Curriculum Services Canada, with the support of the Ontario Government, and we hope you find it informative.
If you have questions about this AODA training, please email equity [at] carleton [dot] ca (equity [at] carleton [dot] ca ).
Sincerely,
Rob Thomas
Assistant Vice-President (Human Resources)
