Volunteers Needed for Carleton’s annual Campus Community Campaign

Monday, January 20, 2014

The Department of Advancement is looking to recruit 50 volunteers for Carleton’s annual Campus Community Campaign. Every year, Carleton runs the Campus Community Campaign to give our faculty, staff and retirees the opportunity to give to the university priority of their choice. It’s a wonderful opportunity to help us raise more money for the school, learn about the Advancement department and bring focus to important priorities in your school, faculty or department.

Last year, more than 500 of us made a charitable contribution to the school, contributing over half a million dollars to further enrich student aid, academic programs, the library, athletics, student services and every other corner of the campus.

The time commitment is minimal: We will be holding a kick-off lunch with confirmed volunteers in the next couple of weeks where we will share success stories and give volunteers the tools to reach out to their colleagues about the Campaign, beginning Feb. 3. We also would encourage volunteers to get creative in their fundraising and have fun in the process! In the past, volunteers have hosted bake sales, dodge ball tournaments, potluck lunches and various fundraising events to support the campaign and bring their team together.

If you:

• Are passionate about your department

• Have a fundraising idea, or

• Can donate time to help us reach our goals

Then we would love to hear from you!
