Volunteers needed for the Ottawa Regional Science Fair!

Monday, March 24, 2014

Carleton is hosting the Ottawa Regional Science Fair this year on April 4th and 5th and we require volunteers to perform safety inspection.

The Ottawa Regional Science Fair is organized and run by a volunteer organization to encourage students in the Ottawa-Carleton Region, from grades 7 to 12, to research, develop, and present projects in the fields of science and engineering. Students from both public and private schools in the region are invited to enter projects in the fair. Each year, approximately 200 projects are entered and judged in the junior, intermediate, senior, and special awards categories so we need your assistance to help make this event a success.

We require volunteers Friday, April 4th, 9:30AM-11:30AM to do the safety inspections before being displayed to the public. There will be a brief training session in advance to show the volunteers what to look for when reviewing the projects.

Best part: Free pizza lunch on the Friday the 4th.
