Friday, January 30, 2015

If you are a student taking MATH 1007 this term (Winter 2015) and struggling with understanding and applying the strategies from class, we have something special for you! The Math Learning Assistance Program is here to help strengthen your skills and give you the best chance for success in your first year math classes at Carleton University. Find more information about the tools that are currently being implemented to help support you in MATH 1007 here.

This new program has rolled out its first stage of a pilot project, offering assistance for students registered in any section of MATH 1007 in Winter 2015. The Math Learning Assistance Program plans to expand its offering of support in Fall 2015 with 4 selected courses for students who may be struggling with concepts in first (and possible second) year mathematics and statistics courses. Tools that are being implemented for student assistance include a) online math homework support, b) an online math tutorial centre, and c) peer-assisted student sessions (PASS). Take charge of your own education, and get the support that you need. We are here to help you!
