Post-graduate studies are a major investment in your future. At Carleton University, we want to help you succeed in your university career. Once your application is received, program administrators will determine which applicants will receive funding from the department. Eligibility is based on a number of criteria including merit, area of study or research, or financial need. In some cases, funding is provided on admission to your program; in others you must apply to Carleton or an external agency.

Our generous internal and external graduate student awards are available to assist students financially with their studies. External scholarships, provided by the Province of Ontario or national granting councils such as SSHRC, NSERC and CIHR are tenable at Carleton University and are administered through the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs.
Our awards office is responsible for providing money, encouragement and advice to students in need. OSAP provides interest-free student loans to provide direct financial assistance for education and living expenses. The work-study program allow qualifying students the opportunity to work on campus, while gaining experience in an area of their interest.
