World-class research

Carleton science professors and students are part of an extensive network of collaboration of scientists from around the world.  As a Science student, you will become part of this network and have the opportunity to engage in some of the world-class research conducted at Carleton University, including:

SNOLAB,  located at the bottom of a mineshaft in the INCO-Creighton Mine is designed to capitalize on the low-noise radiation background experienced in the mine.   

National Wildlife Research Centre, located right on campus, is the national headquarters for a network of wildlife researchers throughout Canada and the world.  Carleton students have the opportunity to work directly with government-funded researchers. 

The High Performance Computer Virtual Laboratory allows researchers to do complex calculations, and extract and categorize information in new ways at very high speeds to solve problems.
