Carolyn Hazell was recently featured on CBC Hockey Night in Canada where she talks about studying Forensics at Carleton and highlights her Alternative Spring Break trip to Nicaragua where she introduced girls to Canadian hockey. Check out the CBC video here! Keep up the great work Carolyn!

Imagine being part of a group of 3,000 people worldwide, all working on the same project!

That’s what Carleton PhD student Thomas McCarthy is doing. He is part of a team of scientists working on the ATLAS experiment. Over time, a number of Carleton University graduate students, research associates, staff, and faculty members have also worked on this project...

The focus of McCarthy’s research is a particle called the “top quark”.

Jennifer Magel was awarded the Ontario B.A.S.S. Nation Student Poster Award for her undergraduate thesis poster that was presented at the 2015 Ontario Chapter of the American Fisheries Society (AFS-OC) Annual Meeting in Orillia, Ontario. Jennifer is currently an undergraduate student in the Biology program (Ecology, Evolution and Behaviour) working in Professor Steven Cooke’s lab.
